Anne Marie Haynie

Anne Marie Haynie, 84, of New Windsor, MD, died Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Julia Manor Health Care in Hagerstown, MD.  She was the daughter of the late Agnes Sostaric and John Yurkovich.  She was the wife of the late Rudolph G. Haynie.

Before retiring she worked as a social worker.  She was a devoted wife, mother and Air Force veteran.  She enjoyed genealogy and gardening.

She is survived by children and spouses Jennifer A. Smith of Reedville, VA, Theresa Hollis and husband Steve of Fairfax Station, VA, Rudolph C. Haynie and wife Nancy of New Windsor, MD, Susan McFarland of Fairfax, VA and Russell Haynie and wife Nikki of Clifton, VA, brother Robert Yurkovich and wife Karen of Inverness, FL.  Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a sister Mary Sojak and brother Thomas Yurkovich.

Prayer services will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
