Carolyn Ruth Buckingham

Carolyn Ruth Buckingham, 88, of Finksburg, died Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at the Dove House.  Born March 25, 1928 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Virginia Pentz Crim and James Crim.  She was the wife of the late Charles M. Buckingham.

She was a member of Emory United Methodist Church where she was a Linus Project Volunteer.  She enjoyed crocheting, painting, reading, crossword puzzles, word games and animals and loved spending time with her family.She is survived by children and spouses Charles Buckingham, Jr. of Westminster and wife Gloria of Florida, Michael Buckingham of Baltimore City, Evan Buckingham and wife Dale of Manchester, Mary Taylor and husband Lee of Westminster, Douglas Buckingham and wife Rosemarie of Bowleys Quarters and Theresa Wire of Westminster.  Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by 3 siblings.   

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster and Monday, June 13, 2016 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Emory United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 13, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Emory United Methodist Church, 1600 Emory Rd, Reisterstown, MD 21136.  Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Park in Sykesville. 

Memorial contributions may be in her name to the Alzheimer's Association Greater Maryland, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093.
