Carroll "Dean" Strauss

Carroll Dean Strauss passed away in the comfort of his home surrounded by family on July 28, 2017.  He fought a hard battle but has finally returned home to the Lord.

Dean was born on January 1, 1937 in Baltimore to Patricia Kenny Strauss and George Strauss.

He married the late Bonnie Hope Duffy Strauss on July 27, 1953 and together they had four daughters.  Dean then married Christine Beall on May 10, 2003.

He is survived by his wife Christine, four daughters Deborah Lea Leister, Bonnie Lynne Warner, Terri Ann Tuck and Melissa Deane Matthews, two step-sons William Beall and Matthew Beall, his sister Patricia  Teague, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Dean is preceded in death by his brother Raymond Strauss.

His life will be celebrated at Calvary United Methodist Church, 3939 Gamber Road, Finksburg, Maryland 21048 on Saturday, August 12, 2017, at 2:00 PM.  A luncheon will follow and all are invited.
