Clayton Eugene Witmer

Clayton Eugene Witmer better known to friends as “Wit”, born on June 15, 1927 in Maugansville, Md., resided in Ellicott City, Md., then retired to Daytona Beach, Fl.  He was predeceased by his parents, 2 brothers (Lester and Raymond Witmer), 2 sisters (Catherine Baer and Ida Martin), and his great granddaughter, Abagail Albright.  He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, (Beverly Witmer (nee Shaffer), his 5 children, Greg Witmer, Jeff Witmer, Sheri Spencer (wife of Robert Spencer), Lori Witmer-Kluge (wife of Charlie Kluge) and Brad Witmer (husband of Kelly Witmer).  Plus 11 grandchildren and 1 Great grandchild.

Clayton worked for Acme Markets for 40 years then Hearn Kirkwood until fully retiring in 1990.  He loved gardening and bird watching along with relaxing at the pool, being at the beach, going to Oriole games and being with his family.

He passed away, April 1, 2018 surrounded by his family as a result of natural causes. 

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave, Westminster, Md., 21157.  There will be no services.
