Dorothy Louise (Roth) Leatherman

Dorothy Louise (Roth) Leatherman, 89, of Westminster, died Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Westminster Ridge.  Born a coal miner’s daughter on December 2, 1927 in Allison, PA, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Orbin) Roth and Steve Roth.  She was the wife of the late Vestal Leatherman who died in 2010.

Dot migrated to Baltimore in search of employment where she worked at Baltimore Venetian Blinds and Mrs. Filbert’s as a floor supervisor. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Robert G. and Shirley A. Leatherman of Westminster, Ronald L. and Patricia "Patty" Beckman-Leatherman of Perry Hall, daughter and son-in-law Ellen L. and Joseph Delfino of Havre de Grace, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother Steve Roth, Jr. and sister Evelyn Roth.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Art Monroe officiating.  Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
