Dorothy Lorraine Stottlemyer

Dorothy Lorraine “Dotty” Stottlemyer of Westminster departed this life on November 23, 2018 following a long illness. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Alan R. Stottlemyer, her sister Lorraine Johnson, and her aunt Anne Wagner.

Dorothy graduated from Adelphi University of New York with a Bachelor of Science Degree and worked for Planning Research Corporation in Washington, DC, for over twenty years as a computer analyst and programmer of business systems. Outside of work she was an avid reader and traveler, and active in the life of her church. She was on the board of Carroll County Food Sunday for many years, and loved being present with organizations raising funds for them. Other interests included embroidery, photography and Geology.

The family will receive friends at Westminster United Methodist Church on Sunday, December 2, 2018, at 1:00 p.m., with a memorial service beginning at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made either to Westminster UMC, Carroll County Food Sunday, the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration.
