Edna Virginia Pickett, 96, of Westminster, died Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Ridge Overlook Assisted Living. Born May 21, 1921 in Gamber, she was the daughter of the late Virgie (Hoff) Ford and Carroll Ford. She was the wife of the late Charles W. Pickett.
She was a member of Patapsco United Methodist Church where she enjoyed the Quilting Women’s Group. She also enjoyed gardening and flowers. She was a Rosie the Riveter.
She is survived by a daughter Sharon Wilson and husband John “Bob” Wilson of New Windsor; a granddaughter Lindsey K. Hendrix and husband William; brothers and sisters, May Schmidt, Blanche Hurlock, Eunice Null, Ralph, David and Kenneth Ford, and a great-granddaughter on the way Eloise.
She was predeceased by sisters Margaret Evans, Pearl Shipley, Helen Welch and brothers Marion Ford and Carroll Ford, Jr.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Barbara Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
