Edward Carroll Miller III

Edward Carroll Miller, III, 78, of Taneytown, died Sunday, November 27, 2016, at Suburban Hospital.  Born March 21, 1938 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Edward Carroll Miller, Jr. and Catharine Martin Miller.  He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Brenda M. Miller.

Before retiring he was an accountant with Geico in Chevy Chase.  He was a member of Messiah United Methodist Church in Taneytown where he was also the church treasurer.  He was an avid Orioles fan and enjoyed following the stock market. 

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter Tracey L. Strong and husband Matthew of Monkton, grandchildren Connor, Madelynn and Joshua Strong, all of Monkton.

He was predeceased by a brother Donald Miller.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with his pastor, Rev. Pat Dols officiating.  Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Park.
