Ellanora Baker Holtzople

Ellanora LaRue Baker Holtzople, 87, of Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg, formerly of Westminster, died Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Holy Cross Hospital in Germantown.  Born June 26, 1928 in Dennings, she was the daughter of the late Mary Eva Lee and Clayford Ezra Baker.  Her husband William F. “Shorty” Holtzople, Jr. died Nov. 2, 1972.

Before retiring she worked for National and 3M Advertising.  She was a member of the Westminster United Methodist Church, Grace United Methodist Church and the Carroll Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by her sister Bertha Shriner of Westminster.  Also survived by nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. James Miller officiating.  Interment will follow in Westminster Cemetery.
