Evelyn L Roys

Evelyn L. Wagner Roys, 85, of Finksburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 22, 2017, at Carroll Hospital surrounded by her loving family.  She was born July 5, 1932 in Towson, where she moved to the Ednor Gardens section of Baltimore at age 11.  She was the daughter of the late John L. Wagner and Lydia Schaefer Wagner. 

She was the wife of Robert W. Roys, her loving husband of  60 years, mother of Steven R. Roys and wife Anna of Finksburg and Douglas W. Roys and wife Lisa of Lutherville, grandmother of Robert, David, Timothy and Kirsten, great-grandmother of Silas, Arya and Angelina.

She was predeceased by her brother John L. Wagner, III and wife Anne.

Evelyn was a homemaker and belonged to various homemaker groups.  She loved gardening and was a member of several garden clubs.  She loved her family.  She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Westminster and served on The Table of Grace meal groups.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 21 Carroll St., Westminster, MD 21157 with a funeral service to begin at 11 a.m.  Interment will be at Lakeview Memorial Park in Sykesville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
