Floyd Monroe Beaver

Floyd M. Beaver, 79, of Westminster, died Friday, July 14, 2017, at his home.  Born July 27, 1937 in Carroll County, he was the son of the late Jesse L. Beaver and Anna M. Groft Beaver.  Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Betty E. Wehrman Beaver.

Before retiring he worked as a carpenter for Gordon E. Sugar.  He was a life member of North Carroll Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed trap shooting, hunting and crabbing. He loved playing cards on Friday nights.

Besides his wife, he is survived by sisters Doris M. Click of Taneytown, Elsie Wallick of Westminster, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law  Mary and Herman Hooper of Hampstead, Edward Wehrman of Littlestown, PA and John and Dorothy Wehrman of Union Bridge and nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by sister Betty M. Ridings and brother Jesse L. Beaver.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main Street, Westminster. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Dr. Ray Shutt officiating. Interment will be in Westminster Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157 in memory of Floyd.
