Grace Marie Weidner

Grace Marie Weidner, 94, of Westminster, died Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Transitions Oakland Manor.  Born July 31, 1922 in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Mildred Porter and Maurice Muller.  Survived by her husband of 76 years, Paul Edwin Weidner. 

Before retiring she worked for Black and Decker and also worked at the Carroll County Board of Education.  She was a member of First Church of God in Westminster and the Ladies Auxiliary of New Windsor Fire Co.  She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her friends at Sunnybrook.

Besides her husband, she is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Richard P. and Sandra Weidner and Maurice L. and Lana Weidner, a daughter Lucinda “Cindy” Shaffer, all of Westminster.  Also survived by 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by siblings Henry, Robert, John and William Muller and Laura Beaver.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 8, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in St. Luke’s (Winters) Church Cemetery in New Windsor.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157 or St. Luke’s Cemetery Fund.
