James "Jim" William Leach, Jr.

James William “Jim” Leach, Jr., 66, of Westminster, died Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Carroll Hospital Center.  Born February 28, 1947 in The Plains, VA; he was the son of the late James William Leach, Sr. and Lilly Blanch Windsor Leach of Westminster.

He was employed as an electrician.  He was a member of Calvary Christian Fellowship in Westminster.

He was a Redskin and Orioles fan, an animal lover and enjoyed watching western movies.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter Angel N. Leach of Hagerstown; a son James William Leach, III of Fair Banks, Alaska; sisters Dorothy V. Hopfer and husband James of New Market, Md., Mary Leach of Westminster, Evelyn Kilgore of Westminster, Patricia Kisner and husband Raymond of Hagerstown; brothers John Leach and wife Shirley of Kissimmee, Fl., Elmer Leach and wife Edna of Frost Proof, Fl., George Leach and wife Pauline of Frederick and Dane Cooper of Germantown, Md.; grandchildren James W. Leach, IV of Hagerstown and Gary Leach of Florida; niece and caregiver Jennifer Isherwood and husband Mark of Westminster.

Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  

He was predeceased by a brother Dean Cooper and brother-in-law James Kilgore.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service; 11 a.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster with Rev. Ted Hill of Calvary Christian Fellowship officiating.  Interment will be in Westminster Cemetery.
