John Louis McInerney

John Louis McInerney, 83, of Westminster, died Friday, May 5, 2017, at the Dove House.  Born December 13, 1933 in New York City, he was the son of Evelyn Schmiph and Peter McInerney.  He was the husband of Patricia McInerney.

Before retiring he worked in the printing and sales industry.  He graduated from St. John’s University in New York with a degree in Accounting and served in the National Guard.  He was a member of Knights of Columbus and enjoyed volunteering at the St. Vincent DePaul Society Soup Kitchen. 

Besides his wife, he is survived by children and spouses Joan Ditman and husband Dean of Westminster, MD, Bob McInerney and wife Pam of Huntsville, AL, Mary Loveless and husband Brian of Laurel, MD, John McInerney and wife Kathy of Parkton, MD, Ann Marie Kraus and husband Steven of Gettysburg, PA and Ken McInerney of Catonsville, MD, step-children; Michael Walstrum and companionTammy Lacy of Abingdon, MD, Nicole Schmidl and husband Hans of Sparks, MD, John Walstrum and companion Nadia of Manchester, MD.  Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Krug Chapel at Carroll Lutheran Village, 300 St. Luke Circle, Westminster, MD 21158, with Chaplain Jimmie Schwartz officiating.  Inurnment will be held at Holy Family Cemetery.
