Joy Michelle (Roberson) Leister

Joy Michelle Roberson Leister, 38, of Westminster, MD, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018.

Joy was born September 6, 1979 and lived in Beltsville, MD from birth until 1989, then resided in Westminster, MD. The beloved daughter of David and Susan Roberson, Joy graduated from Westminster High School class of 1998 then attended CCC. She was a member of Northwest Baptist Church for many years where she participated in youth-group and a memorable mission trip in 1996 to Gretna, Virginia.

Joy was a true nature lover as a child and enjoyed being outdoors, building forts/treehouses, playing in streams and rescuing critters and animals. Later she also enjoyed target shooting, fishing, crabbing, gardening/landscaping, and writing. She always enjoyed being with her sisters and had a passion for children and the elderly. Her most treasured role in life was being a wonderful mother to her girls. She exuded compassion, strength, selflessness, a generous heart and strong faith in God.

She is survived by daughters Natalie Faith and Mia Bella, ages 12 and 4, parents David and Susan Roberson, her twin sister Rebecca Offutt, sisters Jennifer French and Victoria Dudek, brothers-in-law Jason Offutt, Tim French, Chris Dudek, nieces and nephews Ava, Joey, Brodie Offutt, Adalyn, Ava, Evan French, and Peyton Dudek, a multitude of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was predeceased by former husband Jason Leister; father of Natalie and Mia.

A celebration of Joy's life will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Northwest Baptist Church, 300 Westminster Road, Reisterstown, MD 21136.

 In lieu of flowers, donations for Natalie and Mia's educational expenses can be made out to David Roberson and mailed to Northwest Baptist Church.
