Joyce Eileen Meckley

Joyce Eileen Meckley, 78, of Hampstead, died on Monday, January 9, 2017 at Carroll Hospital.  She was the daughter of the late Miriam Agnes Mayers Brown and Charles Stewart Brown.

She was a graduate of Westminster High School, and worked in the Bookkeeping and Payroll department at Congoleum.

She enjoyed going to the Hampstead Senior Center, and playing Bingo at Mason Dixon in Boring.

She is survived by her daughters, Kim Selepack and husband David of Millers, Jill Meckley of Hampstead, sisters Barbara S. Dinterman of Westminster, Susan D. Classing of Hampstead, Pamela D. Hook of Gettysburg, and Lisa C. Uhler of Finksburg.  7 Grandchildren, Robert, Andrew, Kelsey, Brady, Tyler, Matthew, and Tommy.  1 great-grand daughter. She was pre-deceased by her long time companion Richard Smith and Son Bruce Meckley.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Deacon Charles E. Barnhart, Jr. officiating.  Interment will be in Krider’s Cemetery.
