Kaitlyn Taylor McDaniel

Kaitlyn Taylor McDaniel, 20, of Westminster, died Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Rt. 97.  Born February 23, 1998 in Westminster, she was the daughter of Keith & Paula McDaniel of Westminster.

She was a graduate from Westminster High School in 2016 where she played Varsity Soccer.  Kaitlyn attended Howard Community College as a nursing student and was on the soccer team and also was a Lifeguard.  She worked at Friendly’s Restaurant as a Shift Manager.  Kaitlyn loved being with her family and friends and enjoyed music, going to the beach and was an avid reader. 

Besides her parents she is survived by her brother Kyle M. McDaniel of Westminster; Aunts and Uncles, Rhonda and Dave Gosnell of Westminster; Dave Becker of Hanover, PA; cousins Patrick Stem and wife Emily, Philip Stem and fiancé Becca Serio, all of Westminster; Paige and Leah Becker of Hanover, PA; her 2nd grandmother Helen Morawski of Ellicott City.

She was predeceased by her Aunt Lisa Becker and grandparents Jacqueline and John Truckenmiller and Jacob and Betty McDaniel.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 26, 2018 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Chaplain Nancy Ginsberg officiating. 

In keeping with Kaitlyn’s loving and generous spirit, it was her decision to donate life so others may live it.
