Lillie L Utz

Lillie L. Utz, 81, of Westminster, died Monday, November 28, 2016, at Carroll Hospital. Born September 21, 1935 in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Margaret Black and Howard Esworthy.  She was the wife of the late Kenneth E. Utz, who died July 20, 2013. 

Before retiring she worked for Westminster Shoe Factory for over 25 years, Os and Ginny’s “The Pit” for over 15 years.  She loved spending time with family and friends, playing bingo at Pleasant Valley Fire Company, puzzles, watching the Ravens and Orioles.  She was also known by nieces and nephews as Aunt Juggy.

She is survived by children and spouses Brenda Milburn and husband John of Westminster, David Utz of New Oxford, PA, Karen Cook and husband Mike of Westminster and Terri Gontarek and husband Eugene of Westminster, a daughter-in-law, Teresa Utz of Taneytown, 10 grandchildren 21 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by 15 siblings.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Zion Church Cemetery in Shipley.
