Marjorie Georgeanna (Moss) “Margie” Chenoweth, 61, of Westminster, passed peacefully at The Dove House, surrounded by her family after a long, courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, July 20, 2017. Born December 4, 1955, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late George F. Moss, Jr. and Marjorie E. (Munson) Moss and was predeceased by her brother, Wayne D. Moss. She was the loving wife of 43 years to George T. Chenoweth (Tom).  

She worked 12 years at St. John Catholic School, in the cafeteria and worked at Taylor Manor Hospital, in Ellicott City for 17 years.  She was a 1974 graduate of Lansdowne Senior High School and was a member of St. John Catholic Church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by children; Rachel M. Chenoweth (Eric V. Schneider) of Mt. Airy, Marlena A. Laverdiere (Scott D.) of Westminster, Wayne T. Chenoweth (Kelsey L.) of Westminster and Maisy E. Kratz (Bryan T.) of Westminster. Sisters; Rebecca A. Russell (John M.), Dixie Moss, Marlena J. Hodge (Robert T.) and grandchildren; Lawson A. Schneider, Quest A. Mann, Caleigh E. Schneider, Sky L. Laverdiere, Star L. Laverdiere, Summit R. Laverdiere, Sahara M. Laverdiere, Piper R. Kratz and Jayden M. Moreland. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster with Father Christopher DeLeon as celebrant. Inurnment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, Md. 21157 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
