Nancy K Fletcher

Nancy K. Fletcher, 85, of Westminster, died Monday, September 4, 2017, at home with her loving family by her side.  Born March 7, 1932 in Marshall, VA, she was the daughter of the late Ruby C. Edwards and Welthie Kirby.  She was the loving wife of the late Thomas D. Fletcher, Sr. who died September 3, 1979. 

She and her late husband established the Thomas D. Fletcher Funeral Home in Westminster in 1968.  She also worked as a dental receptionist for Drs. Benzil and Brand. 

She graduated from Marshall High School in 1950.  She was a member of the Westminster United Methodist Church, the Westminster Lions Club and the Westminster Elks Lodge No. 2277.  She was the past president of the Gladys Wimert Lioness Club.  She enjoyed horseback riding, bowling, golf, beach trips with her family, and attending sporting events with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children and spouses, Constance F. Zumbrun (Jeff), of Eldersburg, Thomas “Dale” Fletcher, Jr. (Teresa) of Westminster, Linda E. Lawson of Westminster, Cynthia  L. Fletcher of Alpharetta, GA and Kim Booe (Ken) of Westminster, 14 grandchildren; Tim Herb Jr. (Libby), Abby Fletcher, Tom Herb (Lynn), Annie Grandinetti (Matt), Tommy Fletcher (Shannon), Jimmy Zumbrun, Jenna Zumbrun, Brendan Lawson (Kelly), Paige Nipper, Kristen Komander (Johann), Colin Lawson (Amanda), Ben Fletcher, Darby Lawson, and Blake Nipper, great-grandchildren; Ethan, Andrew, and Lucas Grandinetti, Mallie, Gage, and Mairin Herb, Kobi Herb, Emma and Avery Lawson, T. J. Rheubottom, Jayden Zumbrun, Landon and Emri Fletcher.  Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her step-mother, Irma Kirby, and son-in-law, Scott Lawson.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with her pastors, Revs. Malcolm Stranathan and Shari McCourt co-officiating.  Interment will be in Westminster Cemetery.
