Richard Edward Schoonover

Richard Edward Schoonover, Sr., 57, of New Windsor, died Thursday, May 18, 2017 at home.  Born December 7, 1959, in Pennsylvania, he was the Son of the late Richard Schoonover and Pat Robertson Schoonover.  He was predeceased by his wife, Bridgette N. Schoonover.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survived by 3 children, Richard E. Schoonover, Jr. and girlfriend Faith Bozzell of New Windsor, Kari A. Schoonover and fiancé Ernie Kingan of New Windsor, and Christin N. Schoonover and fiancé Joseph Broseker of Taneytown, two brothers, Doug and James Schoonover, four sisters, Brenda Schoonover, Debbie Blizzard, Michelle Stowers, and Denise Poole, seven grandchildren, Richard, III., Colt and Lane Schoonover, Jacob, Brooke and Donald Kingan, Maci Broseker, and former wife Terry Clinton.

He was predeceased by a brother Jackie.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 7 to 9 pm at Fletcher Funeral and Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St. Westminster.  Funeral Services will begin at 8 pm.  Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to defray expenses.
