Robert L. “Archie” Arbaugh, 73, of Westminster, died Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the Dove House. Born on September 10, 1945 in Cranberry, he was the son of the late Ralph William Arbaugh and Daisy May Stimax Arbaugh.
Archie graduated from Westminster High School in 1965. He played football for the Owls, and later played for the Carroll County Chargers. Archie worked for Neel Chevrolet, United Used Cars, and then at Carroll County Auto Parts. He enjoyed shooting pool on various pool leagues and with the guys at his home, fishing with his brothers, and golfing. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #1381 in Westminster, and was also a member of the Carroll County Oldtimers Baseball.
He is survived by three brothers Harry L. Arbaugh and wife Jean, John D., and William L. Arbaugh all of Westminster, two sisters Patricia A. Combs of TN., and Margaret L. Nikirk of TX., and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his devoted friends Ronnie Hoffman, Robin Lewis, Michael Parry and family, and Jon and Nancy Prince.
He was predeceased by four siblings Ralph A. and Frances E. Arbaugh, Betty J. Haage, and Shirley M. Snyder.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 8, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 East Main St., Westminster, Md. 21157.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Charles Barnhart officiating. Interment will follow at Westminster Cemetery.
