Robert Lee Haertig

Robert Lee Haertig, 85, of Westminster, died Thursday, June 29, 2017, at the Dove House.  Born on November 11, 1931 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Robert Haertig and Mabel Beehler.  His wife, Joan Nila Haertig died Feb. 1, 2000.

Before retiring he worked in sales.  He served in the Air Force.  He enjoyed collecting antiques, rare coins and books; especially Maryland history.

He is survived by 5 daughters, Bobbi Baker and husband Anthony of Owings Mills, Robin Raimondi of Littlestown, PA, Jodi Gebhardt of Coeur d' Arlene, ID, Toni Pomeroy and husband Brian of Westminster and Ronni Cranwell and husband Taylor of Alexandria, VA, 6 grandchildren; Anthony, Casey, Marlenna, Fuhler, Peyton, and Jack, 3 great-grandchildren; Noah, Aurora and Amnesty.

He was predeceased by 2 brother Charles Haertig and Marion Haertig killed in action during WWII.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. for immediate family only at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
