Robert Gerald Pelleu

Robert Gerald Pelleu, 89 years young, went on to be with the Lord, Wednesday, April 5, 2017. He was born on November 9, 1927 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Lucille Merryman and George Pelleu.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Castillo, daughters, Claudia Lawler and Susan Bourgeois (Glenn), son, Rich Pelleu, grandchildren, Brendan Lawler, Alexandra Williams (Christopher), Patrick and James Bourgeois(Maygan), and 6 beautiful great grandchildren, Dylan, Claudia, Beau, Sebastian, Lawson and Theo .  

Bob, as all people knew him, will always be remembered for his  easy going nature, great sense of humor, work ethic and most of all, loyalty, unconditional love and devotion to his family and friends. Bob was a great listener whose sense of values and down to earth wisdom often made him sought after by loved ones and strangers alike.  He was a kind and compassionate person, and never hesitated to take in friends and family in need of a roof, whether for a few weeks or even several months at a time.  

Bob served in the Navy for four years and was stationed at the DC Navy Ship Yard.  He was an avid skier, golfer, bowler and Cessna pilot . Next to his love of family, he thrived in sales and was a "natural closer" whether in real-estate or as a commercial construction sales manger with more than 40 years of experience. If you were turned down, Bob was your man to send in because people couldn't help but be won over by his charm and genuine credibility. 

Bob will be deeply missed but his legacy of loyalty, selflessness, tradition, unconditional love and passion for living life to the fullest will live on through generations to come.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 12 noon Tuesday April 18,  2017 at Church of the Redeemer 19425 Woodfield Road, Gaithersburg, MD with a memorial reception for family and close friends from 1-3pm.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Memorial Baptist Church Missions program, 1510 Greenville Blvd, SE, Greenville, NC 27858 in memory of Bob Pelleu.
