Ronald E Head

Ronald E. Head, 69, of Baltimore, died Saturday, July 16, 2016, at his residence.  Born Feb. 17, 1947 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Cecil E. Head and Ruth N. Head.  He is survived by his wife Cynthia E. Head.

Since 1993, Ron was a highly regarded social worker and provided individual therapy to adults, adolescents, and couples with a variety of clinical issues.  He also developed a domestic violence group module for police officers and facilitated seminars at the police academy on police department domestic violence policy.

He was a football coach at Towson University for 9 years and was a member of the Towson University Hall of Fame.  During these years, he was also a representative for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  He enjoyed golf, football, traveling, American history and being with his family and friends.

Besides his wife he is survived by children and spouses Jennifer H. Dolliver and husband Randolph H. Dolliver, Rebecca Watkins and husband Michael Watkins, Jason W. Sheckells and wife Elena A. Sheckells and Matthew C. Rash and wife Cynthia T. Rash, grandchildren Samantha Dolliver, Ridgely Dolliver, Kaitlyn Watkins, Kelly Watkins, Isabella S. Sheckells, Joseph A. Sheckells and Gregory N. Rash.

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at Towson University with a brief service at 1 p.m.  This event will take place in The Minnegan Room located at The Field House.
