Ruth Katherine Stum

Ruth Katherine Stum, 94, of Westminster, died Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at Country Acres Assisted Living in Westminster.  Born October 7, 1922 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Nellie Disney and Lee Cassidy.  She was the wife of the late Charles Bruce Stum.

She worked as a waitress at Sharkey’s and Forest Inn before retiring.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Susan A. Hughes of Westminster, Jean R. and Raymond Chladek of Lovettsville, VA and Joan M. and Ronald Hoffman of Oldsmar, FL, a sister Helen Huff of Vineland, NJ and brother George Cassidy and wife Lorraine of Hampstead, grandchildren Craig Hoffman of Florida and Teri Hughes of Manchester, and a great-grandson Alex Hill.

She was predeceased by brother James Cassidy.

Private graveside services will be held at Patapsco Cemetery in Finksburg.
