William "Bill" Frank Hamilton, Jr.

June 27, 1932 ~ February 4, 2013 (age 80)

William F. "Bill" Hamilton, 80, of Keymar, Maryland, entered the earth on June, 27, 1932, and died peacefully on February 4, 2013, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Shirley Regina Hamilton; his loving children, William (Zoraida Alvarez) Hamilton and Scott (Karen McGuire) Hamilton; his beloved grandchildren, Michael, Jaylyn, Amanda, Matthew, Keith, and Timmy; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Celia Hamilton, and his sister, Lindsay Paul.

Bill was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, and attended Edison.
In his youth, he was a racing pidgeon-flyer and drummer in the Hamilton Drum & Bugle Corps, and he continued to enjoy these interests in some form throughout his life. He proudly served his country in the Korean Conflict from 1952 to 1955, achieving rank of sergeant first-class, and never shrank from giving heartfelt thanks to fellow servicemen and women for their sacrifices. Bill worked as a tool-and-die-maker for many years before retiring to a life of farming in Keymar. A self-reliant and hard-working man, Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing and delighted in the successes and victories of those who worked hard to fulfill their dreams and aspirations.
