Willis Jeanette Blackburn

Willis Jeanette Blackburn, 91, of Westminster died Tuesday, February 21, 2017.  Born June 15, 1925 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late William Allender and Margarett Smith.

Before retiring she was a Registered Nurse. She graduated from the Catholic High School in Baltimore in 1944 and attended St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1947. She was a member of the St. Joseph Hospital Nurses Association.

She is survived by son Michael Blackburn and wife Shireen of Phoenix, AZ, daughter Carolyn Martin and husband Gary of Pasadena, MD, grandchildren M. Russell Blackburn and wife Sarayah, Christen Femiani and husband Thomas, Kelly Standiford, great-grandchildren Emma Femiani, Reilly Blackburn, Ryker Blackburn. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at 11:30  a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Kevin Clementson officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
