Wilma Jean Clunan

Wilma Jean Clunan, 92, of Westminster, Maryland, died August 22, 2016.

Born on August 3, 1924 in Greenford, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Albert William and Mildred Herron Lang.  She graduated from Greenford High School in 1942 and resided in Salem, Ohio before relocating to Delaware in 1954. She was a 50 year resident of Wilmington, Delaware and retired in 1985 from the Bank of Delaware, now PNC.

Jean was a life-long baseball fan, beginning with listening to games on the radio as a child on her Ohio farm, and finally watching her last Baltimore Orioles game just hours before her passing.  She was an avid reader and also excelled in needlework of all kinds.  She enjoyed cards and was an active bridge player during her years in Wilmington.

She was the wife of Robert Thomas Clunan who died in 2001. Surviving are daughter Barbara Clunan Walker and husband Mick of Westminster, Maryland, and son R. Timothy Clunan of Wilmington, Delaware; granddaughters Julie Waskow (Will) of Arizona and Karen Roland (Kevin) of Ireland; four great-grandchildren; and a niece, Mary Ann Lang, of Connecticut.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Robert E. Lang and nephew, Robert B. Lang.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the administration and staff of Golden Crest Assisted Living where she enjoyed excellent care in her final months.  Interment will be private.
