Linda Lee Franklin, 66, of Westminster, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at home. Born October 15, 1945 she was the daughter of the late Bill Eckard and Bessie Winters Eckard. She was the wife of the late Thomas N. Franklin who died August 9, 1978.
Before retiring she worked at Random House. She was a member of the VFW Post No. 467 and Moose Lodge No.1381 both in Westminster.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, flower gardens, country music and working on her house.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law Ricky and Anita Franklin, daughter Jannette “Jenn” Eckard, daughter and son-in-law Lorette and Daniel Crown, son and companion Gregory Franklin and Angie Harris, all of Westminster, sisters, Jean Williams and Frances Hoffer, brothers Thomas, Charles and Nevah Eckard and George Hoffer, grandchildren Rick Hughes, Daniel Crown Jr., Jessica Franklin, Matthew Eckard, Brian Eckard, Jennifer Franklin, Nathan Crown, Gregory Franklin Jr., and Mike Harris; devoted friends, Virginia Long, Corrine Sigai, Gene Dayhoff and John Taylor.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by brothers Clyde Hoffer, William Lewis and Kenneth Eckard.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.
Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M on Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Bill Rumbaugh officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.
