I worked with Charlene at the Howard County Health Department some years ago; we spent many hours talking about our kids and her grandchildren (who she adored so very much). We shared stories, laughter and even some painful moments, she was very kind at heart and will truly be missed.

To Charlene's family, I send you my deepest sympathy and prayers.

I was the first health officer that Charlene worked for in Howard County. I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. She was a remarkable woman. She loved her children and grandchildren. We shared stories of our families. I regret I was unable to attend the ceremony today. I would have liked to express my sympathy in person. You are in my prayers.
