Betty Jane Lambert

Betty Jane (Hoffman) Lambert, 91, died on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at her Westminster home. Born December 10, 1932 at her parent's Frederick County farm, Betty was the daughter of the late Samuel and Jessie (Snyder) Hoffman. She is survived by her devoted husband of 72 years, Harry Donald Lambert, Jr.

Betty was the youngest of six children. She had an instant rapport with all dogs, but particularly loved toy breeds. She was a mother and homemaker, avid gardener, and talented baker. She loved music, played piano and organ, and participated in her church music ministry as a choir member and organist. She enjoyed taking walks, square dancing, and Orioles baseball. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Westminster.

In addition to her husband, survivors are her daughters Barbara A. Lambert and Terence Murphy, Upperco, and Judy L. Marcogliese and James, Houston, TX. She was predeceased by her son Gary D. Lambert, her brothers George, Rudell, and Paul Hoffman, and her sisters Hallie Anderson and Ruth Thompson.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main Street., Westminster. The funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 833 Deer Park Road, Westminster, MD, on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Melissa Helfer officiating. The family will greet visitors before the service starting at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.
