Arlene LaRue “Pip” Hoffman, 94, of Westminster, died Friday, October 12, 2018 at the Longview Nursing Home. Born April 24, 1924, in Westminster, she was the daughter of the late Harvey T. Beard and Elvie Bell Snyder Beard. Her beloved husband Frank Eugene Hoffman died December 23, 2009.
Before retiring she worked at the Polar Peak and was the cafeteria manager at East Middle School. She was a former member of the Women of the Moose in Westminster. She enjoyed baking and cooking.
She is survived by 2 daughters Patricia Crowl and husband Ben, Betty Jean Christensen and husband Stanley, 1 son Ronnie Hoffman all of Westminster; 3 grandchildren Kathy Crowl, Kevin Crowl and wife Sue, Craig M. Beyer and wife Rebecca; 5 great-grandchildren Kayla and husband Alan, Lynsey, Cole, Olive and Theo; 1 great-great-grandson Camden. Also survived by 1 step grandson and 6 step great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Beatrice “Bea” Wolf of Westminster.
She was predeceased by 3 brothers Lawrence Richard Beard who was a POW MIA during WWII, Francis T. Beard and Kenneth S. Beard
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
