Beverly (Dark) Solley

Beverly Dark Solley, 88, of Catonsville, MD, passed away peacefully on the morning of August 3, 2017, after a brief stay at the Dove House.

Beverly was born Beverly Ann Dark in Farmerville, LA to Talmadge DeWitt and AllaBelle Luzader Dark.  She is the eldest sister to Nelda Sue Shaw of Corpus Christie, TX.

Beverly was married to Jerald Donham Solley for 66 years.  After marrying in Ruston, LA, they moved to Catonsville, MD.  She enjoyed sewing, cooking, reading and looking after her family.  She was a member of several ladies clubs including neighborhood ladies; a book club, and a craft club.  These groups include some of her most enduring friendships.  Beverly was most recently a member of Bethel Baptist Church where some years ago she was active in the senior adult group.

Surviving family are her husband, Jerry, and two children Lisa Moor and husband Rob of Blountville, TN and Rebecca Crouse and husband Jim of Westminster, MD, 3 grandsons Tim and Vanessa Moor and their children Gunner, Colton, and Keiran; Ryan Moor and fiancé Amanda Vicars; and Brian and Jessie Crouse and their daughter Kaylin.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, where memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. 

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
