Carole Jennifer (Breighner) Kraus

Carole Jennifer Kraus, 78, of Gettysburg, PA, died Saturday, May 27, 2017, at her residence.  Born November 4, 1938 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Jennie M. (Matthews) Breighner and Francis J. Breighner.  She was the wife of the late Joseph B. Kraus, Sr.

Before retiring she worked in admissions for Maryland General Hospital and also worked in daycare.  She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Bonneaville, Pa.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph B., Jr. and wife Sandra Kraus of Pasadena, Michael F. and Verna Leigh Kraus of Gettysburg and Steven M. and Annmarie Kraus of Gettysburg, brothers and sister-in-law, Robert M. Breighner of Jefferson, PA and David S. and Kathy Breighner of Rosedale, 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two sisters Mary Witts and Adrienne A. Breighner and two brothers Francis and Daniel Breighner.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.  A Christian Wake Service will be held at 8 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 12 E. Hanover St., Bonneaville, PA 17325 with Father Benny Jose as celebrant.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
