Charles Junior Cooper, Sr.

Charles Junior “Buster” Cooper, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 21, 2017, at Golden Living Center in Westminster.  Born September 16, 1937, he was the son of the late James David and Ella Arnita Jones Cooper.  He was the loving husband of 54 years to Yvonne Brown Cooper.

He retired from Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College) after 47 years of faithful service. Buster enjoyed walking, watching TV; especially cooking shows, baking, cookouts, going to church and singing in the choir, being an usher and spending time with family.

Besides his wife, he is survived by siblings James E. Cooper of York, PA, Christine Jiles of Westminster, Pius Cooper and wife Ethel of Baltimore, Rosalie Sims of Westminster and Edna Smith and husband George of New Windsor.  Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by sons Charles E. “Junior” Cooper, Jr. and Eric Allen Cooper, siblings Ethel Keys, Elsie Green, Alice Green, Faith Cooper and Irevia Pryor.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster with Pastor Richard Lindsay officiating.
