Charles Richard Dickens Sr.

Charles Richard Dickens, Sr., 77, of Westminster, died Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Seasons Hospice Northwest.  Born November 7, 1939 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Katherine Olivia Tracey and Guy Edward Dickens, Sr.  He was the husband of the late Jane W. Dickens.

Before retiring he worked as a plumber.

He is survived by daughters Lisa Jane Dickens Golliday and husband Dan of Fairfield, PA and Kristen E. Dickens of Westminster, a son Charles R. Dickens Jr. and wife Amanda of Fannettsburg, PA, brothers Kyle Dickens and wife Lynn of Manchester and Donald Dickens and wife Barb of Westminster, brother-in-law, William G. Welling, Jr. and wife Wilma of Westminster, grandchildren Benjamin M., Jessica and Nathan Golliday and Jackson, Gabriel and Atticus Dickens.Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister Janice Dickens Duesing and a brother Guy Edward Dickens, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service; 11 a.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.  Pastor Tom Richard of Meadow Branch Church of the Brethren will officiate.  Interment will follow in Pipe Creek Cemetery, near Linwood.
