Clarence J. Zerrlaut

Clarence J. "Jerry" Zerrlaut, 76 of Silver Run died Monday morning Nov. 12, 2007 at his home. Born July 13, 1931 in Baltimore he was the son of the late Frederick E. Zerrlaut, Sr. and Kathryn Caples Demmitt. He was the husband of Dorothy Meade Zerrlaut his wife of 53 years. Before retiring he was a milkman for H.E. Koontz Creamery in Baltimore and later drove a delivery truck for various companies. He served in the Navy on the USS Stribling during the Korean Conflict. He was a Life member of the DAV. Surviving besides his wife is son and daughter-in-law; Charles E. and Kathy Zerrlaut of Martinsburg, W. VA., daughters and sons-in-law; Suzanne and Kenneth C. Jones of Severna Park and Denise and John Young of Linden, VA, brother; Frederick E. Zerrlaut, Jr. of Sykesville, 2 granddaughters; Stacy and Amanda, 2 great grandsons; Andrew and Alex. Funeral services will be held on Thursday Nov. 15, 2007 at 12 Noon at the Fletcher Funeral Home, P.A., 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Interment in Lorraine Park Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. DAV Chapter # 22 will conduct a memorial service Wednesday 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
