Elaine Marie Callahan

Elaine Marie Callahan passed away on May 16, 2018 in Westminster, Maryland after an extended illness. 

Elaine was born on July 1, 1941 in Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania to Vincent Downey and Alberta Andrulevich Downey.  She grew up in Baltimore and was a graduate of Catholic High School of Baltimore.  Elaine was a 39 year retiree of the Social Security Administration in Woodlawn.

She is survived by her son Todd V. DeMario and wife Tracy; grandchildren Vince DeMario and Danielle DeMario; sisters Kathleen Downey Dotterweich and husband Regis, Joanne Downey Conjour, Donna Downey and Mary Ann Downey;  and many nephews, nieces and cousins.  Elaine was a beloved friend to very close group of men and women with whom she met while working at the Social Security Administration.

A memorial service will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St.,  Westminster, MD on Saturday June 2, 2018 at 11:30 a.m.
