Frederick "Steve" Steven Kern, Sr.

Frederick Steven “Steve” Kern, Sr., 54, of Moorefield, WV, formerly of Westminster, passed away Sunday afternoon, November 18, 2012 at his residence. Born January 15, 1958 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Walter Lindenberg Kern & Mary Ann (Cool) Kern.  Survived by his wife of 27 years, Susan (Petenbrink) Kern.

Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Frederick Steven Kern, Jr. & Jay Alan Kern of Moorefield, WV; four daughters, Crystal Kern & Brittany Whittaker of Moorefield, WV, Amanda Kern of Mathias, WV and Jo Anne Parsons of Millersville, MD; three brothers, William Kern of Westminster, MD, Ronnie Kern of Coolsville, OH and Gene Kern of Hanover, PA; a sister, Mary Ann Thompson of York, PA and ten grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two brothers.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Ray Shutt officiating.  Interment will follow in Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hampstead.
