Harry F. Kabernagel

Harry F. Kabernagel of Westminster, MD, formerly of Media PA, died Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the age of 91 from complications of dementia.

Born on June 6, 1926 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Genevieve McCann Kabernagel and Alfred W. Kabernagel, Sr. (USCG Ret).  Harry was married for 57 years to Doreen M. Kabernagel who died in 2012. 

He is survived by his four siblings, Mary Jane Baker, Alfred W. Kabernagel, Jr. Genevieve V. Wallace and Ralph E. Kabernagel.  Harry is also survived by his three children, Ann Chisholm (Gary), Sandy Kabernagel (Barb) and Bruce Kabernagel (Rosie) as well as six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Harry was an All American lacrosse player at Washington College where he was inducted in their Hall of Fame in 1990.

Harry spent his career working for FMC Corporation as a senior environmental engineer, retiring in 1988.

Services and interment will be held at a later date.
