James "Beau" Busey Nichols

James Busey “Beau” Nichols, age 55, of Annapolis, passed away of cardiac arrest on Monday, March 12, 2018, in Park City, Utah.  Born on July 16, 1962 in Annapolis, MD he was the son of the late Charles H. Nichols, Jr. and Anne Kohler Nichols. He was the devoted husband of Kathryn Shilling Nichols.

As a young man, Beau was a three-sport varsity athlete and member of the Ocean City Beach Patrol.  First working as a yacht salesman, he transitioned careers, eventually founding his own financial group in Parole, MD. 

Beau was a member of Bay Area Community Church in Annapolis and Crossroads Community Church in Westminster.  He enjoyed boating, fishing, playing golf, and skiing.  Beau particularly enjoyed Redskins football and following Naval Academy sports with his friends and family. 

Surviving in addition to his wife, Kathy, are stepchildren Daniel, Timothy, Kristiana, William, Caroline, Lily, Isaiah, and Samuel Freundel as well as three brothers, C. Reid and Cindy Nichols of Ellicott City, Curtis D. Nichols of Arnold, MD, and Todd H. and Lisa Nichols of Annapolis, MD. Beau was a devoted uncle to nieces and nephews, Benjamin, Caitlin, Elizabeth, and Dale.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Crossroads Community Church, 895 Leidy Rd, Westminster, MD 21157, with Pastor Reid Robinette and Mike McMahon of Central Maryland FCA officiating.
