Jean Allen Obituary

Jean Gertrude Allen, 83, of Henderson, NV, passed away peacefully in the early evening of Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster, MD, with her devoted daughter Joyce by her side. Jean was born on October 18, 1934 in Houlton, Maine to Florence and Phillip Mayo, and was a 1952 graduate of Anacostia High School in Washington, D.C.

Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband Arthur M. Allen, and is survived by 5 children; Arthur Jr. (Jill), Linda, Joyce, Mitchell and Anthony.

She was also blessed with 5 grandchildren; Jennifer, Ian (deceased), Amanda, Michael, and Elliott, and 10 great-grandchildren, as well as her beloved companion Pua. No public memorial is planned at this time but Jean would welcome donations in her name to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
