John Neldon Davis, Sr.

John Neldon Davis, Sr., 88, of Westminster, MD, passed quietly from this life to join with his Savior and rejoin his wife of nearly 66 years, on Thursday, January 11, 2018. 

He was proud to have been born and raised in a farming family in Blue Knob, WV.  He moved to Canton, Ohio; then to Brockport, NY where he raised his family.

He was employed by the General Electric Company, Small Appliance Division and was a Plastics Technician and Molding Specialist.  He moved to Westminster, MD upon his retirement in 1986.  His enduring patience and quiet demeanor was accompanied by a wit and appreciation for fun and humor that was his family trademark.

He was predeceased by his wife Betty Jean Davis, a son Robert Dean Davis and 10 siblings.

He is survived by a brother Ralph E. Davis and wife Linda of Maysel, WV; son John Neldon Davis, Jr. and wife Alice of Westminster, MD; son Marty Dale Davis of Brockport, NY; a granddaughter whom he raised as his own, Elizabeth Jeanne Davis of Saginaw, TX; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at Clearfield Bible Church, 1303 Old Westminster Pike, Westminster, MD 21157, with Pastor Garry Sheaffer and Pastor Ray Newman co-officiating.  Interment will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery.
