John Elwood Fridinger, 67, of Middle River, died on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Franklin Square Hospital. Born on February 26, 1952, in Hanover, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Gilbert Edward Fridinger, and Geraldine Mae Stambaugh Fridinger. He is survived by his wife Sandra Lee Fridinger.
John proudly served as a sergeant in the U.S Army Reserve. Before retiring he was the Service Manager at Fletcher’s Service Center in Olney for 40 years.
John was a master craftsman, and had a passion for boating and fishing. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially his children, grandchildren, and his dog “Porkchop”.
In addition to his wife he is survived by son John Elwood Fridinger, Jr. and wife April of Etna, OH; daughter Lindsay K. Huntemann and husband Steven of Olney; step-daughter Sherese “Nikki” Sinnott and husband Chad of Hampstead; sisters, Terri L. Livingston and husband John of Hanover, PA., and Patricia A. Fridinger of Gettysburg, PA; four grandchildren, John Devin Fridinger, William Tyler Fridinger, Avery Lee Huntemann and John Thomas Huntemann; mother-in-law Evelyn L. Wilson of Westminster.
He was pre-deceased by brothers and sisters, Ronald E. Fridinger, Phyllis E. Topper, Carolyn M. Railing, Connie V. Reinhart, and Larry A. Fridinger.
The family will receive friends at Fletcher Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 254 East Main Street, Westminster on Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 2 to 4 p.m. Military honors will be at 3:00 p.m.
