Joseph "J.R." C Sheppard, Jr.

Joseph C. “J.R.” Sheppard, Jr., 35, of Hampstead, died Friday, February 2, 2018 at Carroll Hospital Center.  Born October 20, 1982 in Westminster, he was the son of Joseph C. “Joe” Sheppard, Sr. and the late Debra Sue (Mathney) Brooks.

He worked as a landscaper and was a 2001 graduate of Westminster High School.

Besides his father, he is survived by daughters Olivia Sheppard and Destiny Knouse, sisters Tammy, Gina and Rhonda Sheppard, brothers Tatum, Chris and Jason Collins, niece Richelle and fiancé Heather Phyles.  Also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by sisters Joey and Joanna Sheppard.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Westminster United Methodist Church, 165 E. Main St., Westminster.  A Funeral Wake will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tanya Brown officiating.  Interment will follow in New Cathedral Cemetery in Baltimore.

A Repast will be held at the church following the burial.
