Kathleen's Father, John Lavin was my first cousin. His wife, Mary Metzbower was a good friend. I'm sorry I did not get to know the children, since I entered the convent at an early age. Cousin Ann Meckel has kept me informed of Kathleen's illness and my companion sisters and I have been praying for her and the family. I am so sorry to hear of her death. We will continue to pray for all of you. May you be comforted by the support and prayers of those who knew Kathleen and were blessed by her life. My thoughts and prayers are with Kathleen's family. Kathleen was a wonderful friend to my sister, Ginny. I remember vividly the energy and smiles when Kathleen was around. I also remember the beautiful quilt Kathleen made Ginny for a birthday, which Ginny cherished; Kathleen was so talented.
