Kevin Nicholas Tevelow, 22, of New Windsor, died on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 in an automobile accident. Born on February 7, 1997 in Gaithersburg, he was the son of Lorna Kristen “Kristy” Tevelow of New Windsor. He was predeceased by his father Martin “Mickey” Tevelow, who died on September 16, 2015.
Kevin graduated from South Carroll High School in 2015, where he participated in the Vocal Ensemble and the school’s theater program. He attended the Carroll County Career and Technology Center where he earned his certificate in homeland security, and then attended CCBC where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with his AA degree in automotive technology. In addition to his academic honors, Kevin also earned his blackbelt in Ninjitsu from Tristar Martial Arts in Eldersburg, MD.
Kevin was passionate about cars from the time he could talk, and had recently begun a career in car sales. In his spare time, Kevin enjoyed going to car meets to see his dream cars and meet others who shared his passion. When he wasn’t with cars, Kevin could be found listening to music or spending time with his family, friends, and three cats.
Kevin will be remembered by those who love him as a gentle soul who always aimed to treat others with kindness. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his extensive knowledge of cars, and his quickness to help a friend in need. Those who had the privilege of being Kevin’s friend or family will deeply miss his warm heart.
Besides his mother, Kevin is survived by his step-father Joe Mazzuca; siblings Ben Tevelow and wife Rachel, Jesse Tevelow, Nora Cabrera and husband Steve, Hayley Tevelow, Melissa Grigas and husband Mike, and Kendall Mazzuca; nephew Owen; and niece Liliana. Also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and a great-uncle.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 1, 2019 from 2 to 3 p.m. with a Memorial Service beginning at 3:00, at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 East Main Street, Westminster. Deacon Charles E. Barnhart will be officiating.
