Lucy Catherine Booth, 89, of Westminster, died Friday, July 27, 2018, at Carroll Hospital Center. Born Feb. 20, 1929 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late George Dallas Dunn and Ella Louise Ford Dunn. She is survived by her beloved husband of 67 years, Floyd Booth, Jr.
Before retiring she worked as an Account Executive for Barnes-Bollinger Insurance. She was the Charter President of the Sulphur Springs Lions Club, where she was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award and past President of the New Windsor Lioness Club. She was active in fundraising for Drop Everything and Read and named Honored Queen of Bethel 6 of Job’s Daughters. She was a member of Grace Lutheran where she was active in assisting at Grace Lutheran Table of Grace and Just Two; organizing the annual crab feast.
Besides her husband she is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen Booth Pace and husband Thomas of Silver Spring and Nancy Booth Crews and husband Stephen of New Windsor; three grandsons Timothy Crews and wife Emily of New Windsor; Daniel Crews and wife Kelley of Sykesville and Benjamin Crews and wife Keri of Hampstead; step-grandchildren Sarah Crews, Daniel Pace, Ethan Pace and Abigail Cogman and great-granddaughter Harper Crews.
She was predeceased by her sister Mildred Bussey.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 21 Carroll St., Westminster, with her pastor; Rev. Kevin Clementson officiating. Interment will be private.
