Margaret A Petry

Margaret A. Petry, age 97, went home to be with the Lord, Oct. 10, 2017, at Carroll Lutheran Health Care Center.  Born March 30, 1920 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Mary Ahl.  She was the wife of Kenneth S. Petry, who passed away in November, 1996.

She worked as a seamstress for English American.  She enjoyed her family, garden and flowers.  She was a member of Westminster First Church of God.

Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Betty Petry of Hanover, PA, daughter and son-in-law, Sandra P. and Edward Tenney of Westminster, MD.  She also had 4 grandchildren and spouses; Denise and Dale Fogelsanger of Dillsburg, PA, Timothy and Carolyn Cline Petry of Glen Rock, PA, Wanda and Scot Lynn of Westminster, MD and Todd and Michele Petry of Hanover, PA.  She had 7 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  Emma Layton was a dear friend.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Westminster Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Lutheran Village Resident Assistance Fund, 300 St. Luke Circle, Westminster, MD 21158 or a charity of your choice.
